MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – In 2010 Belarus will introduce new food quality standards that would set out more stringent requirements for the quality of products. This is one of the events slated for the implementation in the Year of Quality in Belarus. The national action plan for the Year of Quality 2010 was approved by Council of Ministers’ resolution No 124, BelTA learnt from the Council of Ministers’ Office.

Russia’s State Duma to ratify protocol on oil supplies to Belarus
MOSCOW, 9 February (BelTA) – The Government of Russia has submitted a protocol on the terms of Russian oil supplies to Belarus to the State Duma of Russia, BelTA learnt from the press service of the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament. The protocol was signed in Moscow on 27 January. The document amended the agreement signed by the governments of Belarus and Russia on 12 January 2007 to regulate the trade and economic cooperation in the export of oil and oil products. More

Eight-time world champion Natallia Tsylinskaya welcomes baby daughter
MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Eight-time World Track Cycling Champion Natallia Tsylinskaya gave birth to a child on 5 February, BelTA learnt from Natallia Tsylinskaya herself. It is the second daughter for Natallia Tsylinskaya. The Belarusian athlete brings up a 12-year old daughter Masha.
