MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Eight-time World Track Cycling Champion Natallia Tsylinskaya gave birth to a child on 5 February, BelTA learnt from Natallia Tsylinskaya herself.
It is the second daughter for Natallia Tsylinskaya. The Belarusian athlete brings up a 12-year old daughter Masha.
Natallia Tsylinskaya is a member of Dynamo Sports Association, and an Honored Master of Sports of Belarus. She won bronze at 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
Tsylinskaya has won the world championships eight times so far. She won two gold medals in the sprint and 500mTT events in Manchester in 2000. Tsylinskaya achieved the same results both in Ballerup, Denmark, in 2002 and Bordeaux, France, in 2006. Natallia Tsylinskaya won golds in the 500mTT event both in Stuttgart, Germany, in 2003 and in Los Angeles, the USA, in 2005.
Apart from that, Tsylinskaya has won 28 golden medals at various World Cup rounds.
The bronze medal at the 1992 Junior World Championships in Australia became one of the first international awards of Tsylinskaya.
In 2007 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko awarded the athlete with a special prize, Belarusian Sports Olympus.
